It seems like living the Chronic Life is rife with trial and error. We try different doctors, different diets, different exercise, a variety of different treatments and prescriptions. I've even heard doctors relate finding the right prescriptions to dating "You have to kiss a lot of frogs until you find a prince". Topiramate/Topomax is a classic example of a drug that many people are unable to tolerate due to it's side effect profile (although I, myself am able to bear that one), what has been an unbearable experience for you that made you cease a certain prescription? Is reputation enough to steer you clear of specific drug classes? When is the treatment worse than the disease?
